You could notice in About Me page that I was fascinated with different places and cultures since I was a child.
Encyclopedia books presented me some different magical worlds through pictures and, when I learned to read, with descriptions too. My grandfather was my best companion at the time for answering thousands of “why” and “how” questions with endless patience. He enjoyed travelling when he was younger and he managed to transfer that passion to my mother and aunts and, eventually, to me. And not just about travelling. He was nursing my curiosity with different stories from biology, geology, science etc. He was my live encyclopedia at the time and I could never thank him enough for that.
Knowing this background a bit, you can understand why I owed it to my child version so much to actually go and visit those places I read about and learn something new on the way. Not about places and people but also about myself. That was my inspiration for the travel blog name. Chasing diversity of any kind. Cultural, natural, personal.
Therefrom, this personal travel blog has been created to pass on some useful travel information and experiences to anyone interested. I am happy to announce that it won’t contain any sponsored information or recommendations.
On my trips I discover some nice places to stay and to eat as well as some less nice ones. So if you really want that specific information, just write me. I will be happy to pass it on. Another reason for not publishing names of restaurants and hotels is to avoid one-sided experiences.
This blog is also not intended to promote a digital nomad life because I am not one of them as you could learn from About me article. I wish I was but I am not. It is intended for full-time, part-time, location-based working people who use their holidays for travelling.
Photos are worth a thousand words but sometimes a background story puts another perspective on them too. It would be also interesting to hear about your experiences of the same places and discuss further. You never know, maybe you’ll visit the place some time again, that time enriched with someone else’s experience or perspective.
Let’s ignite some explorer’s fire and visit some interesting places this world has to offer, sharing the useful information and good vibes along the way. Litterally everything is on my bucket list, what about yours?
